School Group Rates

The Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center is open 365 days a year, including holidays, (GWDC bears do not hibernate) from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm thru April 29th. Please note that our hours do change with the season. Call for current hours.

We are located just one block from the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park and one block south of the IMAX Theater (map and directions).

As a 501©(3) not-for-profit organization, visitor admission is our main source of funding for continued operations.

School group rates are:

Grades K - 8	$4.50 per student
Grades 9 - college	$6.50 per student

Teachers, chaperones, bus driver and additional adults pay the student rate for their group. All school groups must have a chaperone for every ten students, we will allow up to two or three additional chaperones at the student rate. Additional chaperones will pay the higher rate.

A joint ticket with the IMAX Theater is available if arrangements have been made in advance. The GWDC will collect funds and issue a receipt for the IMAX Theater.

School group rates for a joint ticket with the IMAX Theater are:

Grades K - 8	$10.00 per student
Grades 9 - college	$12.00 per student

Cash, school check or credit cards are accepted. Please pay in a lump sum for the group.

The Center can accommodate groups from 8:30 am until one hour prior to closing.

• Bus parking is available and within easy walking distance of the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center and the IMAX Theater.
• Credit Cards accepted in both Admissions and Gift Shop: Visa, Mastercard and Discover. No out-of-state checks please.
• An ATM machine is on the premises.
• A playground is located on site (ADA accessible).
• Wheelchairs are available and accessible.
• Picnic tables are located around the outside perimeter of the Center.

The Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center also offers grizzly and wolf Teacher Trunks and/or Teacher Packets. They are valuable educational tools to supplement your visit to the Center.

When possible, avoid the summer crowds from June through August. Plan school field trips in the spring, fall or winter months.
